Magnesium is the fourth most prevalent mineral in our bodies. It is a cofactor in more than 300 enzyme systems that regulate various biochemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood sugar control, blood pressure regulation, and mood regulation.
The passage of magnesium from the intestinal lumen into our body is weak. Therefore, it must be taken in different forms (e.g. magnesium oxide, magnesium citrate, magnesium malate etc). However, since these forms have different bioavailability from each other, their effectiveness also varies. Although the oxide form is the most common, absorption is about 4%. In contrast, the absorption of organic forms such as citrate, malate, bisglycinate, and taurate is much higher.
In addition, vitamin B6 has a synergistic action by contributing to the transport of magnesium into cells, increasing its absorption.
Superior Quality
In Mag4 Day&Night tablets are divided into daytime tablet (orange) and nighttime tablet (blue), to be taken at two different times of the day, depending on the type of magnesium and its main effect.
The orange tablet contains magnesium citrate, malate, taurate, and vitamin B6 in active form (P5P). Magnesium citrate, malate, and taurate are recommended for maintaining muscle function and having high energy requirements. These types of magnesium are recommended in the case of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
Magnesium citrate is a type of magnesium that binds to citric acid, which plays a key role in energy metabolism.
Magnesium malate contains malic acid, which occurs naturally in fruit. This form of magnesium is easily soluble in our bodies and therefore has high absorption.
Magnesium taurate contains the amino acid taurine. Taurine is the most common amino acid in heart tissue, and this combination is particularly useful in supporting heart health. Taurine also transports magnesium into cells, increasing its absorption.
Blue tablet contains magnesium bisglycinate and vitamin B6 in active form (P5P)
Magnesium bisglycinate consists of elemental magnesium and the amino acid glycine. Glycine is an essential amino acid that has important neurotransmitter functions in the brain. Magnesium bisglycinate is easily absorbed and may have calming properties. It can help reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia.
In addition to contributing to normal psychological function, reduction of fatigue and tiredness, and normal functioning of the nervous and immune systems, vitamin B6 is involved in the transport of magnesium into cells and increases its bioavailability. Vitamin B6 deficiency has been shown to cause magnesium deficiency.
The vitamin B6 contained in Mag4 Day&Night is in active form (pyridoxal-5-phosphate), so it is the form most absorbable by our bodies.
